Prayer is, in the strictest sense, a humble religious petition of man to God to seek divine benevolence and benefits he needs for life, both temporal and eternal. It is a conversation with God, either by accepted prayer forms, or from the heart. Consider these words as if God were speaking them to His children...
"It is not necessary my child, to know much in order to please me much; it is enough that you love me fervently. Speak here to me then, as you would speak to your most intimate friend, to your mother, to your brother." ~God your Father~

He Gave His Only Son
"Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed."
John 21:29
Quotes to Live By- There should be less talk. A preaching point is not a meeting point.
- The dying, the cripple, the mental, the unwanted, the unloved-- they are Jesus in disguise.
- In the West there is loneliness, which I call the leprosy of the West. In many ways it is worse than our poor in Calcutta. (Commonweal, Dec 19, 1997)
- It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving.
- The poor give us much more than we give them. They're such strong people, living day to day with no food. and they never curse, never complain. We don't have to give them pity or sympathy. We have so much to learn from them.
- I see God in every human being. When I wash the leper's wounds, I feel I am nursing the Lord himself. Is it not a beautiful experience?
- I do not pray for success. I ask for faithfulness.
- Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go.
- If you judge people, you have no time to love them.

Today, on Good Friday, I wish us all the clarity of silence, so that we may hear the joy of our hearts. It might be hidden by the pain that we feel or hindered by the brokenness of our lives, but I pray that we will surrender and offer all these to Jesus, and ask Him to grant us the gift of being near to Him. Make this Good Friday our first day, our first step, for the rest of our lives, to want to be of Jesus, to be with Jesus. I wish for us all the desire to fall in love with Jesus, the longing for His healing and Peace. I wish that we may all find comfort and consolation in the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, as I wish that we may all have the yearning to be part of the banquet that is the Holy Eucharist. In this turbulent world and times, I wish for us all the joy born out of our Hope that our Lord Jesus is our King, our Divine Shepherd, our friend. In the absence of words, I wish that we may hear the sighing of our souls within, longing to worship our faithful God who, in His desire to save us, has given us the perfect gift of all.
The Perfect Gift
Dear loving Jesus, what wonderful gift
You have given us: Your humility
And obedience to Your Father's will
Not for Your sake but for ours
So that one day You may come for us
And take us home to our Father's house.
In our brokenness You complete us
In our want You nourish us tenderly,
Generously with Your endless mercy
If we cannot see all these gifts
It is our fault not Yours
For we are vain, we are arrogant.
But we humbly ask you, Dear shepherd
Touch us so that we may see
The joy behind our pain, behind our sorrow
Grant us the grace to realize
The perfect gift for us that is You.
With the cruel cross you bear You redeem us
With your crown of thorns You remember to forgive
In Your rising to life You lift us to salvation
With Your wounded Sacred Heart
You shield us from eternal darkness
Your love overflows for us, for always.
We have nothing to offer You
Except our broken hearts
But sweet Jesus, we will our hearts
To be totally in love with you
From our broken hearts we sing joyously
Our gratitude for the perfect gift
That is You.
