Prayer is, in the strictest sense, a humble religious petition of man to God to seek divine benevolence and benefits he needs for life, both temporal and eternal. It is a conversation with God, either by accepted prayer forms, or from the heart. Consider these words as if God were speaking them to His children...
"It is not necessary my child, to know much in order to please me much; it is enough that you love me fervently. Speak here to me then, as you would speak to your most intimate friend, to your mother, to your brother." ~God your Father~

He Gave His Only Son
"Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed."
John 21:29
Quotes to Live By- There should be less talk. A preaching point is not a meeting point.
- The dying, the cripple, the mental, the unwanted, the unloved-- they are Jesus in disguise.
- In the West there is loneliness, which I call the leprosy of the West. In many ways it is worse than our poor in Calcutta. (Commonweal, Dec 19, 1997)

- The poor give us much more than we give them. They're such strong people, living day to day with no food. and they never curse, never complain. We don't have to give them pity or sympathy. We have so much to learn from them.
- I see God in every human being. When I wash the leper's wounds, I feel I am nursing the Lord himself. Is it not a beautiful experience?
- I do not pray for success. I ask for faithfulness.
- Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go.

What do you believe? We recite the creed many times and we risk glossing over the meaning if we merely recite it. A big part of the creed is communion. We have communion with God, with our neighbors, and the saints. We have communion because it comes naturally. We are created by God; we are created out of God's love because God is love. It is out of God's love that we are created to be in communion with each other. Therefore, we have to really work hard to be out of communion but we do it all the time. We consistently think that we can operate alone and we think we are happier if we do it alone. Wrong!
We are in communion with all of the Holy People. Everyone is Holy by virtue of the Spirit within us. We build and strengthen our communion by constantly receiving the Holy Eucharist on a regular basis. We strengthen our communion by being in community in numerous ways. Holy People are meant to be in community, working together to build Christ's Church here on earth and preparing each other for eternal community in heaven. We build Church here on earth using the gifts we have received from the Spirit. Our gifts are one more way we are in communion; we are different parts but we are of the one Spirit.
We are drawn together as followers of Christ. As disciples we intercede for each other to God for each other needs. In our creed to express our belief in the communion of saints. The communion of saints includes all of the Holy People; here on earth and those in heaven. Saints in heaven are more effective in their intercessions because they are closer to God. We can pray to saints in heaven to intercede for us.
We should pray to God for the dead to help in their purification and to make their intercessions for us more effective.
