Bread of Life

Prayer...

Prayer is, in the strictest sense, a humble religious petition of man to God to seek divine benevolence and benefits he needs for life, both temporal and eternal. It is a conversation with God, either by accepted prayer forms, or from the heart. Consider these words as if God were speaking them to His children...

"It is not necessary my child, to know much in order to please me much; it is enough that you love me fervently. Speak here to me then, as you would speak to your most intimate friend, to your mother, to your brother."

~God your Father~

He Gave His Only Son

"Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed."

John 21:29

This May, Let Us Honor Our Mother Mary

by Stella Armstrong

As I went about my daily chores today, I spent time contemplating about the many challenges our youth face in this culture. In the long journey of their lives here, I see how many of them have been and still will be molded without including the reality that God does exist, that there is eternal life, that the life that we recognize here on earth is just temporary. As I grew up in a lonely home and distant from my parents I had no one, but I remember that one day when a friend led me to church and as I knelt, I heard the people sing "Immaculate Mother to thee we call..." That day, I found my mother in heaven.

During this month of May, help me pray to our Mother Mary, to help us keep this home safe for all our children. Ask her to pray with us to her son Jesus, so that our country will be blessed and healed so that someday soon, our children's spirits will be allowed to flourish in a nation that acknowledges the presence of our Heavenly Father.

That day, I found my mother....
...in heaven!

O Most Holy and Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Claim for your Son Jesus and His Most Sacred Heart
This great and noble nation as His own
Ennoble and enlighten the hearts of its leaders
To do the Holy Will of Your beloved Son.
Claim this nation as your own
And carry your faithful troops to safety and victory
in the name of Your Holy Son Jesus.
Protect its people with your Immaculate Heart
And crush all evil against and around them
As you have done through generations
For all who invoke Your Loving Heart.
We earnestly pray for the consecration of this nation
To your Immaculate Heart
And to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
O Mary, Hear us!
O Mary, make this nation your own!

During this month of May...
...help me pray to our mother Mary.

Ask the Holy Spirit to descend upon its people
And guide them back to our Father,
O Most loving Immaculate Heart,
Be their shield and armor
In their battle against evil.
O Most Loving Immaculate Mother,
Implore our Heavenly Father,
Who cannot deny Your loving prayers,
To bring all fallen away to repentance and conversion,
And the abundance of His Grace, blessings,
Victory and protection to those who believe in Him.
O Holy Mother, Queen of the Heavens and Angels
Win for us the victory that we cannot win on our own;
In our sinfulness we invoke
Your Most Holy Son Jesus
Through Your Immaculate Heart;
Our loving Mother in Heaven,
Hear us! Amen.
