Bread of Life

Prayer...

Prayer is, in the strictest sense, a humble religious petition of man to God to seek divine benevolence and benefits he needs for life, both temporal and eternal. It is a conversation with God, either by accepted prayer forms, or from the heart. Consider these words as if God were speaking them to His children...

"It is not necessary my child, to know much in order to please me much; it is enough that you love me fervently. Speak here to me then, as you would speak to your most intimate friend, to your mother, to your brother."

~God your Father~

He Gave His Only Son

"Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed."

John 21:29

Faith Based

by Kelsey McKay

As people of the flesh we tend to be weak. We ask ourselves "Will we always be this way?", the answer is yes and no. Yes as humans we will be weak and no because of our faith we have in our Lord our God. But what happens if we begin to slowly lose our faith little by little over time? Some may say "Well, I will never lose any faith at all. I believe in God, I am religious and sure I don't attend church every week like I should." Comments like that are proof that faith is there, but it is lacking the stability of an overall faith based relationship with our redeemer. A faith based relationship is what we all have when we are in alignment with the one true God.

A faith based relationship is what we all have...
...when we are in alignment with the one true God.

I recently conversed with a friend of mine through the mail and he asked me my input on DNA and Gods work through us. I told him I felt that God has planted a road map inside of all of us, and the road map, if followed correctly will ultimately lead us to true faith and the correct alignmenent with the one who knows us best. Sure troubles come up in our lives, we all pray when we need too.

We pray, we talk to God...
...and He listens.

Maybe if you dan't make it to church one week, try praying an extra 30 minutes that day. God will listen and understand, He's not expecting a dramatic apology or story of why you missed church. He knows why already. He just wants us to achnowledge Him and that's what is cool, we pray, we talk to God and He listens. If you listen carefully, you'll hear Him speaking back. We are His children and like all children we are bound to make mistakes, but there is no reason for any part of our faith to disappear.

Remember, it takes only the faith of a mustard seed, the smallest of seeds, that produces a tree that is big enough for the birds to nest in. Now, if having faith as small as a seed will help me move a mountain, why not couble or triple that faith? Imagine the size of the mountain you could move then.

Having a faith based relationship with our Father will help us with the temptations of the flesh which cause us to be weak.

Ask, Knock, Pray All-Ways. And remember this POP (Power of Prayer).

I would like to leave you with a poem I wrote that deals with faith.

Rapture

What if time stood still?
Can you tell me how that would make you feel?
What if you were the only one who noticed?
Would tht make you feel like the only one left?
Would you feel lonely and depressed?
Would you be happy that you were the only one left?
Think about these questions;
Let them wander in your mind,
Because when Jesus comes again
You do not want to be left behind!
Have you accepted Him in your heart?
Have you accepted Him as your Savior?
Get on your knees and pray,
Don't think of it as a favor,
I am asking you this just one time;
Jesus will be coming,
Are you ready?
Or will you be left behind?
