Bread of Life

Prayer...

Prayer is, in the strictest sense, a humble religious petition of man to God to seek divine benevolence and benefits he needs for life, both temporal and eternal. It is a conversation with God, either by accepted prayer forms, or from the heart. Consider these words as if God were speaking them to His children...

"It is not necessary my child, to know much in order to please me much; it is enough that you love me fervently. Speak here to me then, as you would speak to your most intimate friend, to your mother, to your brother."

~God your Father~

He Gave His Only Son

"Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed."

John 21:29

Once You Spoke to Men

by Claire Clow

How often do we forget the goodness that the Lord has given to us. We can always turn to Him for help, guidance, and love.

we can always turn to Him ...
...for help, guidance and love.

When we're caught up in problems or discord, we must turn to him for help. He has given us so many ways to know he is with us. He sends His angels to protect us, He sends His Spirit to guide us, He gives Himself in the Holy Eucharist. If we all turned to him in our hours of need, in our times of gladness, in our times of sorrow, we will always find what we need. It's so easy to forget when we are entangled in every day life, if we don't have a set schedule to be putting Him first above all; the business of everyday life can overcome us and we will find ourselves far away from the holy life He wants for each of His children.

the business of everyday life can overcome us...
...and we will find ourselves far away from the holy life He wants for each of His children.

Today, in prayer, there was a Hymn that was a reminder to always turn to Jesus I’d like to share it with you.

Lord Jesus, once you spoke to men
Upon the mountain, in the plain;
O help us listen now, as then,
And wonder at your words again.

We all have secret fears to face,
Our minds and motives to amend;
We seek your truth, we need your grace,
Our living Lord and present Friend.

The Gospel speaks, and we receive
Your light, your love, your own command.
O help us live what we believe
In daily work of hear and hand.

You are all loved and watched over by the Redeemer of the world!
