Bread of Life

Prayer...

Prayer is, in the strictest sense, a humble religious petition of man to God to seek divine benevolence and benefits he needs for life, both temporal and eternal. It is a conversation with God, either by accepted prayer forms, or from the heart. Consider these words as if God were speaking them to His children...

"It is not necessary my child, to know much in order to please me much; it is enough that you love me fervently. Speak here to me then, as you would speak to your most intimate friend, to your mother, to your brother."

~God your Father~

He Gave His Only Son

"Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed."

John 21:29

Resisting the Devil

by Patti LaRue

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Resist...
...the Devil

Part of resisting the devil is to submit ourselves to God. We need to understand that God's position does not move, and He has been clear about where He Stands on this ever present issue of the devil.

...God's position
does not move...

If you believe in Christ you are saved and in right relationship with Him. Our enemy, the devil however; is shifty as well as cunning, and he is always trying to confuse the direction in which you are walking in. He is always trying to sell you his lies in place of the truth that is Gods.

Stop and look around you and ask yourself if evil has worked its way into your life masquerading as something that is good.

Remember, Satan's goal is to exploit anything that can turn you away from God. Resist the evil, and cling to Christ alone.
