Bread of Life
Prayer...

Prayer is, in the strictest sense, a humble religious petition of man to God to seek divine benevolence and benefits he needs for life, both temporal and eternal. It is a conversation with God, either by accepted prayer forms, or from the heart. Consider these words as if God were speaking them to His children...

"It is not necessary my child, to know much in order to please me much; it is enough that you love me fervently. Speak here to me then, as you would speak to your most intimate friend, to your mother, to your brother."

~God your Father~

He Gave His Only Son

"Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed."

John 21:29

I Don't Have the Time

by Patti LaRue

When is the last time you said that? Five minutes ago? Yesterday? When is the last time someone you know said that to you? Five minutes ago? Yesterday?

Why don't we have the time?

We don't have the time because we fill ourselves up with too much clutter in our lives. We continually take on more and more in our daily lives without even asking ourselves whether or not what we are loading ourselves up with is really what God wants us to do. We load ourselves up with so many outside interests to keep ourselves busy that we forget about the most important thing in our lives, and that is Jesus Christ.

We don't have the time...
...because we fill ourselves with too much clutter.

Each time we add one more thing to our busy schedules that has nothing to do with serving God, we push God further and further out of the picture. And the further we push Him away, the less things seem to make sense. Yet we keep on adding things to our schedules that make the distance from God larger and larger each and every day.

And then when we are asked to do something for God, such as lend a helping hand with something in church, join a church organization, join a ministry, or even pray a little extra each day, we say “I don't have the time.”

Each time we add one more thing to our busy schedules... ...
...we push God further and further out.

Over the next few weeks, we're going to be asking you to pray more, give more of your time to God and what will your response be? That you don't have time to pray more? Consider this.....what would you do if one day you needed God's help desperately and His reply was “I don't have the time.”?
