Prayer is, in the strictest sense, a humble religious petition of man to God to seek divine benevolence and benefits he needs for life, both temporal and eternal. It is a conversation with God, either by accepted prayer forms, or from the heart. Consider these words as if God were speaking them to His children...
"It is not necessary my child, to know much in order to please me much; it is enough that you love me fervently. Speak here to me then, as you would speak to your most intimate friend, to your mother, to your brother." ~God your Father~

He Gave His Only Son
"Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed."
John 21:29
Quotes to Live By- There should be less talk. A preaching point is not a meeting point.
- The dying, the cripple, the mental, the unwanted, the unloved-- they are Jesus in disguise.
- In the West there is loneliness, which I call the leprosy of the West. In many ways it is worse than our poor in Calcutta. (Commonweal, Dec 19, 1997)
- It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving.
- The poor give us much more than we give them. They're such strong people, living day to day with no food. and they never curse, never complain. We don't have to give them pity or sympathy. We have so much to learn from them.
- I see God in every human being. When I wash the leper's wounds, I feel I am nursing the Lord himself. Is it not a beautiful experience?
- I do not pray for success. I ask for faithfulness.
- Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go.
- If you judge people, you have no time to love them.

The Spiritual body of Christ works together like a physical body. Each member of Christ's body has a special purpose and job. We can find the special gifts God has given us by serving others. Soon we will see in which ways God has gifted us.
Each of us has one body with many parts, and the parts do not all have the same purpose. We are also many persons. But in Christ we become one body. With each part of that body belonging to all the other parts.
"We all have gifts. They differ in keeping with the grace that God has given to each of us. Is it your gift to serve? Then serve. Is it teaching? Then teach. Is it giving to those in need? Then give freely. Is it being a leader? Then work hard at it." (Romans 12:4-8)
The different parts of the body depend on each other. As we serve others, we in turn will find God using others to meet our needs. God wants us to know the blessing of supporting each other.
Just as our physical body needs food, so too our Spiritual life, needs to be fed. Jesus wants us to grow and mature in our faith, our Spiritual life and our service. The Spiritual food we need includes teaching from God's word, sharing with other believers, and prayer and praise to God.
So let's obey the Christian faith, it's personal, but not private. Healthy and growing followers of Jesus are not loners. It is by living in unity with others that we test how well we obey the great command of God's love.
So let's all come together in Christian unity and serve as one Body of Christ. I'll leave this thought with you.
Jesus once said: "Anyone who wants to be important among you must be your servant. And anyone who wants to be first must be the slave of everyone. Even the Son of Man did not come to be served. Instead, he came to serve others. He came to give his life as the price for setting many people free." (Mark 10:42-45)
So if we serve as Christ has aksed, then we too may be free!
Peace be with you all!
