Bread of Life
Prayer...

Prayer is, in the strictest sense, a humble religious petition of man to God to seek divine benevolence and benefits he needs for life, both temporal and eternal. It is a conversation with God, either by accepted prayer forms, or from the heart. Consider these words as if God were speaking them to His children...

"It is not necessary my child, to know much in order to please me much; it is enough that you love me fervently. Speak here to me then, as you would speak to your most intimate friend, to your mother, to your brother."

~God your Father~

He Gave His Only Son

"Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed."

John 21:29

The Healing Word

by Kelsey McKay

Does this happen to you? Feelings come and go?

I have been thinking lately how my feelings subject me to more of the Word. For example, I'll be feeling a little down, open the Bible and read a few chapters that seem to be calling to me, and once I begin reading, I'm instantly at peace.

Does this happen to you....
...feelings come and go?

So often we find ourselves swamped with emotions that we have a hard time definingthem, and what do we do, yes we bottle them up. Bottling these feelings can make the situation even worse. We may be battling depression because something bad has happend to us in our lives, and instead of turning to God, we bottle those emotions up and act like nothing's wrong. That's where it starts, not us, but Satan; he is attracted to that bottled up emotions like an alcoholic is attracted to his bottle of alcohol. He feeds on it and we allow him to be closer than we would like. We start to feel angry because we don't understand why we're having these feelings. We turn to modern medicine for answers, yet the answer is right in front of our eyes.

Most of us don't realize that the Holy Scriptures are a natural healer. We all from time to time have turned to the Bible for answers, but ask yourself, have you ever turned to it to be healed? I found that it stops the devil from even getting a hint that we're in trouble spiritually, and so we're fine. But imagine, you're hurting and you fill that bottle with all your hurt. Instead of turning to God you allow it to continue to overflow until that river of emotions flows directly to Satan. That's when he's happy, and you're then depressed, angry and confused! What happens next are the temptations which the devil loves to offer us!

He feeds on it..... ...
...and we allow him to be closer than we would like.

This is when the fork in our road appears, you have a choice, left or right, God or Satan. Which are you going to choose? Pick up the Word. He has layed it forth, read and listen. I am telling you it heals. Medications only mask what's happening. God's glory and love for us heals, yes it does! I have felt great pain in my life, but thanks be to God, for His word and understanding and forgiveness has healed me within. He is the Truth, He is our Redeemer. Ask and you shall receive. Listen with intent on being healed and your prayers will be answered! Reading and listening may be only the beginning, but it works, for I have heard and I have been healed.

"Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the edge of His cloak. She said to herself 'If I only touch His cloak, I will be healed!' Jesus turned and saw her. 'Take heart daughter' He said, 'Your faith has healed you.' And the woman was healed from that moment." (Matthew 9:20-22)

Faith plus believing equals healing, for it's all in the Word.
