Prayer is, in the strictest sense, a humble religious petition of man to God to seek divine benevolence and benefits he needs for life, both temporal and eternal. It is a conversation with God, either by accepted prayer forms, or from the heart. Consider these words as if God were speaking them to His children...
"It is not necessary my child, to know much in order to please me much; it is enough that you love me fervently. Speak here to me then, as you would speak to your most intimate friend, to your mother, to your brother." ~God your Father~

He Gave His Only Son
"Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed."
John 21:29
Quotes to Live By- There should be less talk. A preaching point is not a meeting point.
- The dying, the cripple, the mental, the unwanted, the unloved-- they are Jesus in disguise.
- In the West there is loneliness, which I call the leprosy of the West. In many ways it is worse than our poor in Calcutta. (Commonweal, Dec 19, 1997)
- It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving.
- The poor give us much more than we give them. They're such strong people, living day to day with no food. and they never curse, never complain. We don't have to give them pity or sympathy. We have so much to learn from them.
- I see God in every human being. When I wash the leper's wounds, I feel I am nursing the Lord himself. Is it not a beautiful experience?
- I do not pray for success. I ask for faithfulness.
- Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go.
- If you judge people, you have no time to love them.

"Even though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me." (Psalm 23:4)
We all can feel lonely, in desperate need of companionship, but we need to realize we are not alone. God, our redeemer, is with us every step we take. How is this? It's because of faith. Faith is the key to unlock that easy feeling of knowing that our Lord Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father is there with us in our daily battle with our spiritual journey. Not all of us feel this way, and that's because we have yet to ask Him for forgiveness and allow Jesus into our hearts.
How do we do this? It's simple, just ask and wait for a knock. He's waiting for us all to invite Him in and when you do, everything begins to change.
We can get in touch with our calling by knowing the Spirit within us. Connecting to the Spirit within increases our ability to be transcendent; enabling us to access the will of God. Let the Spirit touch your heart. The change never happens overnight, yet it can happen quickly. When we invite Jesus in we feel like He's asking us to follow HIm, and that's exactly what we're doing. Jesus had many follow Him, but there was a time when some dropped everything and actually followed.
"Come follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed." (Mark 1:17-18)
He doesn't expect all of us to drop everything and follow, but instead he wants us to listen and follow with our hearts. Some of us do listen, yes, but only with our ears and only hear what we want to hear. I find it's easier day after day to open my heart and listen freely to Him. Our Lord knows what we desire, knows what we need, and He provides if we have faith. How can we not have faith when we are alive due to His act of unselfishness? Can you answer that? He loves us unconditionally, so let's love Him back. For He says:
"Love one another, as I have loved you, so you must love one another." (John 13:34)
He's not asking all us to go out and bend over backwards, He's asking for love, and that we believe in Him. Having faith brings us closer to our Lord and that faith exists in all of us. Find the faith, have faith, take up your cross and follow Him today, tomorrow, and for eternity. Faith is easy. The Bible tells us just how easy faith can be.
"I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move! Nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20-21)
Jesus tells us just how strong we can be when we have just a little faith. So believe, have faith, and you'll see the change in your life, maybe not today or tomorrow, but with faith it will come. Faith is showing Him our love. Let's give Him what He has already given us. So if you hear that knock at your heart do not hesitate, go open the door and invite Him in!
