St. Joe's Annual Family Camp Out
August 14th thru August 16th 2009

RESERVATIONS ARE NO LONGER BEING TAKEN FOR OUR 2009 CAMP OUT!

Woo Hoo! We're back at Metzler Park! We know everyone prefers this beautiful campground and we were not going to be denied for 2009 and sure enough we were able to do so! So start planning your trip for 2009! You can make reservations for August 12th and the 13th as well, we do have sites available for those days as well!

Directions to Metzler Park:

Metzler Park is located approximately 5 miles south of Estacada. Take Interstate 205 to Exit 12, Clackamas/Estacada, and turn eastbound onto Hwy. 212/224. Proceed 3.2 miles through Clackamas to the Hwy. 212/224 junction (Rock Creek junction), turn right onto Hwy. 224, proceed 15.1 miles following the signs to Estacada. Pass through Estacada, just on the outskirts of Estacada, turn right onto Hwy. 211, crossing a bridge. Go 4.0 miles to Tucker Rd.; turn right. Proceed .5 miles and make a sharp left turn onto Metzler Park Rd. The park entrance is 1.6 miles down the road.

Camping Fees

$19.00 per site/per night Friday, Saturday, and Holidays
$16.00 per site/per night Sunday through Thursday.

The first vehicle is at no charge, being included in your camp fee. The fee for extra vehicles is $5.00 per night and can be paid at the campground. A maximum of two vehicles are permitted in a campsite. Any vehicles not fitting in the campsite must be parked in the designated overflow parking.

For your protection, park entrance gates are locked from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. daily. Be sure to plan your activities around this. Resident park personnel or attendants will open gates during closed hours ONLY in cases of bona fide emergencies.

Activities For All Ages The playground will keep your youngsters entertained for hours. An exciting game of softball, volleyball or horseshoes is perfect.

Fishing is another popular pastime. Folks will tell you that Barton Park is one of the best sites on the mid-Clackamas. Steelhead, trout and salmon could easily be the highlight of your campsite feast tonight.

Rafting is very popular. Many enjoy the adventurous trip starting about 6 miles upriver at McIver Park. The boat ramp provides excellent riv er access. Others choose to start at Barton for about a 5 mile journey to Carver Park. The Clackamas River is exceptionally beautiful and the rapids are mild enough for rafters of all abilities.
