Opening:

Archdiocesan Pastoral Council – David reported on the first meeting. The main topic was the bankruptcy litigation. It is expected that we will emerge from bankruptcy by June of this year. The Archbishop’s question is “where do we go from here”.

Deacon Project – Mike Caldwell continues to interview parishioners and will report back at the next meeting.

Family Prayer Night – tabled until Fall.

New Business:

Parish Mission – on March 19-21 led by Father Patrick Mowrer. Cathy will coordinate Wednesday night potluck.

Men’s Group – first meting was held on February 24th. Next meeting planned for March 17th and will be facilitated by Mike Caldwell.

Roundtable –

  • Homily line - is it possible to record live at Mass? Pod-cast possibilities? David will report back.

  • Sign 148/Division – City of Portland and Multnomah County building codes govern signs on public property. The parish could seek permission from private property owners to put a sign up.

  • Spaghetti dinner – February 25th, volunteers are still needed.

  • Knights of Columbus – parish basketball champions headed to state finals in Eugene.

  • Serendipity – tables in basement were broken. Joint effort (St Joseph the Worker and Serendipity) to have tables repaired. Maintenance and behavior standards need to be negotiated next time the contract is up for renewal.
  • Adjournment:

Next meeting: Wednesday, March 14, 2007, 6 PM, in room 3.

Father John led the closing prayer. Meeting adjourned at 8:53 PM.
