Care Ministry There
is need for a Eucharistic minister the second
week of the month at Powellhurst Nursing Home and the third week at
Cornerstone Nursing Home. No experience necessary, will train. Call Becky at
503-761-8710. The Prayer Chain will
meet Tuesday January 15th from 9:00-10:00 AM in the Social room of the
Church. Anyone from the parish is invited to attend and join us as we pray
for those who are ill and have requested prayer support. We will continue on chapter 7 in our book Sacred
Necessities, Gifts for Living With Passion, Purpose and Grace by
Terry Hershey. It’s a great book. If you are new to the parish and would like
to join us, please come we share books well. Refreshments following the

listed above. Los Embajadores Summer 2008 June 29-July 7 The Mexico service immersion trip is an incredible
opportunity for high school and college age students(16
and older) to serve the poor, experience another culture and to
grow in their faith. An informational meeting will be held Jan

Center 11:30 AM-1:30 PM The Knights of Columbus are
sponsoring a DVD presentation of Fr. John Corapri (of EWTN fame) presenting
the Catholic Church’s approach to Scripture Study. His approach will be
presented in three two hour sessions in the Social Room with the first
session January 20th the second session on January 27th, and the final
session on February 10th. All sessions begin at 1:00 PM. The sessions provide
information on how to read Sacred Scriptures without the risk of
misinterpreting. This is a great
opportunity for everyone especially those enrolled in the winter bible study
classes to listen to a very dynamic speaker and to better understand how to
read, study and interpret the Bible. Support
Vocations-Seminarian Dinner-March 8, 2008 The Knights of Columbus
will be putting on a dinner to benefit Seminarians on March 8th and you can
