Care Ministry There is need for a Eucharistic minister the 2nd
week of the month at Powellhurst Nursing Home at 130th and Holgate and
the 3rd wk. at Cornerstone Nursing Home at 126th and Bush. There are 4 people to visit in each place.
No experience necessary, will train.

all those involved in Pastoral Ministries- the Eucharistic Ministers to the
Sick, those who drive people to Mass, bake cakes and send cards. There will
be a brief service following the homily at each of these 2 Masses. Please pray for these compassionate
visitors and helpers. WOWS Lunch: This
is a social activity open to all widows, widowers and those who are single
for any reason. We will enjoy a 1:00 PM lunch on January 30th at El Indio, a
Mexican restaurant at 11114 NE Halsey. For reservations please call me at

+ 1,350.91 50 Years! This year marks the 50th anniversary of St. Joseph
the Worker here on 148th Ave, Portland, OR!! Darlene Greiner and Patti LaRue of the Pastoral
Council, will be heading the planning committee for this huge event. And it
is a huge event. Since the two of them cannot manage something of
this magnitude alone they are looking for volunteers to step up to help put
on this event for the church. The committee will need help in the following areas: History Decorating Advertising-Patti
LaRue lead Picnic/BBQ Music-Kathy Harris
committee lead Set Up/Clean Up The event will include an outdoor Mass, picnic/bbq,
live music, an historical exhibit set up in the Social Room and invitations
will be given to the public as well as an invitation sent to the Archbishop. This is a once in a lifetime event, so let’s make
this happen! Our first meeting will be February 17th at 12:15 PM in the Social Room.

presentation of the Catholic Church’s approach to Scripture Study on Sunday
