Welcome to St. Joseph!

Pro Life!
St. Joseph the Worker Parish involves itself in a variety of Pro Life events and we encourage all parishioners to get involved in some form, if it's just to pray.
A group of parishioners from St. Joe's and St. Henry's meet each Wednesday in front of the Planned Parenthood on SE 50th and Franklin, one block north of Powell and pray 20 decades of the Rosary, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. This is where St. Joseph the Worker will pray during the 40 Days For Life Campaign. We will be praying during Lent, each Wednesday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am and also in the afternoon from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm - Wednesday of each week is the day they perform abortions.
If you would like to know how to get involved with any ongoing or upcoming Pro Life event please feel free to contact Kathi Nordlund at manordlund@msn.com.

A Blessing
We have a blessing to report!! One morning while a group of 6 of us were praying at the PP off 50th and Powell a young lady came out of the clinic with paper work in hand. She stood by the PP wall on our side of the door. One of our prayer warriors, Therese, said to her that we could help. She came over to talk with us and we could tell she didn't want to go through with the abortion. She had already paid her $450 with her debit card. We encouraged her to ask PP to refund her money.
Her husband wanted her to have the abortion because they have a soon to be one year old son and he thought it was too soon for another baby. She went back in to get her refund. PP graciously refunded her money and gave her an info sheet about PRC's. Two of our members walked with this young lady over to the Pregnancy Resource center (two blocks away) for info and she called her husband to come and get her. He had their son in the car when he came to get her. We are praying a Novena for this couple. Please join us in praying for Kelsey and William that they will have the courage to face the challenges of bringing another child into the world.
