The word of God is a sharp-edged sword piercing lies, confusion, untruths, half-truths and that which is not of God. It makes things clear in terms of what is from God and what is not, what is life-giving and what takes life away. Satan battles against the word of God because he wants us to be confused and unclear about the truth. How much confusion do you see in our world today? How unclear are people with their identity and purpose?

Identity. How many people do you know who are seeking their identity outside of God? Materialism, money, power, sex, and addictions of all sorts are just some of the ways we try to find our identity. Without God, what identity do we have, what will last? How clearly are our children taught that our identity is in God? We are his sons and daughters and he has loved us first, freely and forever. He shows us what our identity is all about as he pours out his our in our hearts more deeply and clearly shows us the purpose of our lives.

Purpose. One area where there is so much confusion about the purpose of our lives is how we are to relate to each other sexually. How many people know that having sex is saying your wedding vows with your body? When you have sex with someone you are committing to them all that you are for the whole of life and when there is no actual commitment there a lot of confusion is born. The two main purposes of sex are babies and bonding. Each act of sex should be open to a baby and the growth in love of the couple. If that is not the case, more confusion visits the couple about their purpose to grow together and be always open to a third, a new child.

We have HDTV - High Definition Television. Have you ever seen how clear the picture is on an HDTV? I do not know exactly how it works but it does!

We need HDC - High Definition Christians! We need Christians who know who they are and what their purpose is. In a confused and unclear world, we need Christians who are loving and learning and living the word of God. They cut through all the lies and are a constant reference to the truth.

How does one become an HDC? Pray about it. Have others pray about it. Pray about it together as family and friends. Talk about how you can better live as an HDC.

Make Christ as clear as possible with your life.
